Re: Superman without kryptonite is boring.

This is a great mental trick. I often (nit necessarily related to alcohol) get a sense of guilt and a shame spiral if I slip on something but the knack is really to let that go and get back on mission. I have given up for three months and a year at a time before. My relationship with alcohol is not static. Sometimes it’s fine. I haven’t been a regular drinker for a long time but when I do it is easy for me to lose control (here comes the binge and hangovers). So, I wouldn’t classify myself as an alcoholic (and there is no shame here if you are) but I have a sometimes abusive and tumultuous relationship with the booze. So I can relate to the hangovers and the lack of energy and motivation for other things, and I think a lot of people fall into this category. This is good stuff, and has some great survival tips in a boozey world I hadn’t thought of. I may turn the tap off again while I establish my own business.

Lord knows I can’t afford therapy, so some self indulgent ramblings will have to do.
